Become a Material Handler in our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility! This role is vital to the smooth operation of our logistics center. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the loading and unloading of materials, moving inventory around the warehouse, and assisting with order fulfillment. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, and have the physical capability to handle the demands of the job, including significant Lifting. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure accuracy in all tasks. You will work closely with other team members to achieve daily operational goals. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace is expected. We prioritize the safety of our employees and ensure all necessary PPE is provided and used correctly. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment.
- Sort and organize incoming materials.
- Assist with picking and packing orders.
- Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely (if certified).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
