Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in St. Louis, Missouri? We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our dynamic logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your expertise in operating forklifts will be essential to maintaining productivity and ensuring the integrity of our inventory. This role is critical to our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and placement of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow all relevant logistics and shipping protocols.
- Be aware of surroundings and potential hazards to ensure a safe operation.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and following safety instructions.
- Knowledge of logistics operations is a plus.
