We are hiring an Order Picker for our Columbus, Ohio location. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, responsible for accurately retrieving items from inventory to fulfill customer orders. The ideal candidate will be diligent, have a strong sense of urgency, and possess the physical capability to perform the required tasks. You will work within a dynamic team environment, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of our order fulfillment process. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, and all employees are expected to follow established safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of necessary PPE. Your efforts directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain our reputation in the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, including proper lifting techniques.
- Properly wear and maintain all required PPE.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking targets.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics process.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to follow instructions and safety protocols, including proper PPE usage.
- Team player attitude.
