Join our growing team in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a Receiving Clerk! We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage incoming shipments efficiently and accurately. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, inspecting, documenting, and verifying all incoming goods to ensure inventory integrity and operational flow. This role is a cornerstone of our warehouse and Logistics operations, requiring a commitment to precision and Safety .
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming freight.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders, invoices, and packing lists.
- Document all received items, noting any damages or discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately and promptly.
- Tag and prepare items for storage or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Coordinate with carriers and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and procedures.
- Properly use all mandated PPE to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, shipping, or warehouse environment is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and data entry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
