A Material Handler position is available at our Kansas City, Missouri facility. This role is essential for moving materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring a steady flow of goods to support production and distribution. You will operate various types of material handling equipment and be responsible for loading and unloading trucks. We are committed to a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to follow stringent Safety guidelines and wear the required PPE. This is a physically demanding job that requires strength and stamina.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Proven experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift certification).
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, often exceeding 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE at all times.
