Job Summary:
Are you passionate about maintaining accurate inventory and optimizing warehouse operations? We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist for our Grand Rapids, Michigan location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing inventory control procedures. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure smooth logistics and prevent stock-outs or overstock situations. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and excellent analytical skills are essential. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all protocols and wear appropriate PPE. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to impact efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment or adjustments.
  • Implement and improve inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Track and manage the movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy across logistics operations.
  • Ensure the security and proper storage of all inventory.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and use all required PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret inventory data and generate reports.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs, as needed.
  • Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
