Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-moving environment? We are hiring motivated Picker/Packers for our Kansas City, Missouri facility. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Your primary duties will involve retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets, meticulously packaging them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. This role demands speed, accuracy, and a commitment to quality. You'll work closely with our logistics team to maintain optimal workflow and contribute to customer satisfaction. Experience with RF scanners is a plus. We emphasize safety and provide all necessary PPE. This is a great opportunity to grow with a leading company in the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations using order sheets or scanners.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and ensure correct destination information.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing shipments.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, supporting the logistics operations.
- Maintain productivity standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Familiarity with RF scanners is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and perform frequent lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Commitment to safety practices and wearing required PPE.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
