We are hiring a Material Handler for our busy logistics facility in Austin, Texas! This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your primary responsibilities will involve the physical movement of materials within the warehouse, including receiving, stocking, and preparing goods for shipment. You will operate various pieces of equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification and training provided), to ensure efficient workflow. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and all team members must follow established procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). If you are a motivated individual with a strong work ethic, capable of handling physically demanding tasks including regular Lifting, and possess a keen interest in the logistics industry, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unpack incoming materials and supplies.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear all required PPE correctly at all times.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous material handling experience is a plus, but not required for motivated individuals.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety practices.
- Willingness to learn and operate various types of warehouse equipment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic logistics environment.
- Comfortable wearing required PPE.
