We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our distribution center in Provo, Utah. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our facility, loading and unloading trucks, and managing inventory storage. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining the integrity of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to Safety, and the ability to perform tasks involving physical exertion, including Lifting. We are looking for a reliable individual who can work independently and as part of a team to meet operational demands. This is a fantastic chance to utilize your expertise in a key role within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, stack, and sort materials.
- Safely transport goods to and from various warehouse locations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Load and unload trailers and containers efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and safe.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated proficiency.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with general logistics processes is a plus.
