We are hiring a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is critical for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, on time, and properly documented. As a Shipping Clerk, you will manage the shipping process from start to finish, coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping labels, and verifying order details. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be key to maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations. You will be working in a fast-paced distribution center environment where accuracy and speed are essential. Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify order details against packed items to ensure accuracy.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and pallet wrappers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the warehouse management system accordingly.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and logistics requirements.
- Perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of packages up to 30 lbs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including shipping software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and Safety protocols.
- Ability to handle minor physical tasks such as occasional Lifting.
