Join our innovative logistics team as an Order Picker in Seattle, Washington! We are searching for individuals who are precise, efficient, and safety-conscious to fulfill customer orders accurately. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment within our dynamic warehouse environment. Your role is essential to ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. We emphasize a safe working atmosphere, requiring adherence to all safety protocols and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and lifting, and is ideal for those who excel in a hands-on role within the logistics sector. Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable. You will be empowered to use technology and equipment to optimize your picking process. Accuracy and speed are key performance indicators. We value team collaboration and individual initiative. Responsibilities include:
- Reading pick lists or using a scanning device to locate and retrieve items.
- Verifying product information and quantities against order details.
- Transporting picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Ensuring the accuracy of all orders picked.
- Maintaining an organized and clean work area.
- Adhering strictly to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Properly using any required PPE.
- Reporting any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or packing.
- Contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics department.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse picking role.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Capability for frequent lifting, often up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and RF scanners.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and a commitment to meeting performance targets in a logistics setting.
