We are seeking an organized and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Portland, Oregon. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the intake of all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Your duties will include unloading shipments, inspecting items for damage or discrepancies, verifying contents against purchase orders, and accurately stocking received inventory. A meticulous attention to detail is essential to maintain inventory integrity and prevent errors in our supply chain. You will be a key player in our warehouse operations, ensuring a smooth and accurate flow of goods into the facility. We prioritize a safe and productive work environment and expect all employees to strictly follow safety guidelines, including the diligent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Be prepared for physical tasks, including regular lifting. Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or logistics is highly advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers.
- Inspect received goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received items against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stock received inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Report any receiving discrepancies or damages to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and use required PPE.
- Operate material handling equipment as needed, following safety protocols.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required to support logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Understanding of logistics and receiving procedures.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
