We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy warehouse in Portland, Oregon. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks, relocating inventory, and staging goods for shipment. You will operate various types of forklifts, ensuring adherence to all operational procedures and safety guidelines. Your ability to work safely and efficiently is paramount to our operations and the overall success of our Logistics department. We are committed to providing a secure workplace and expect all employees to prioritize Safety above all else.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials, products, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety procedures and regulations.
- Use appropriate PPE at all times while operating machinery and on the warehouse floor.
- Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Stage products for shipment or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- This position involves significant physical activity and requires consistent Lifting of items.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator. Valid forklift certification. Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management. Strong understanding of safe operating procedures. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts.
