We are seeking certified and experienced Forklift Operators for our busy Atlanta, Georgia warehouse. This position is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods and supporting our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials. A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move, lift, and stack materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport goods from receiving areas to designated storage locations and to shipping docks.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs or defects.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure materials are stored correctly.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of stock placement.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations and efficient logistics .
- Follow proper procedures for damaged goods reporting and handling.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics .
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work shifts as scheduled.
- Ability to wear required PPE , such as safety boots, gloves, and high-visibility vests.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential hazards.
