We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our Kansas City, Missouri distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. You will play a key part in our logistics operations, ensuring timely movement of goods and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate must have a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to adhering to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, are paramount. - Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload pallets and materials.
- Safely transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift daily before operation and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of movements and inventory locations.
- Organize and stack materials in a safe and stable manner.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Use appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the mandatory use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
