Our San Antonio, Texas facility is looking for a diligent Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This position is vital for ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our inventory data. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and records using warehouse management systems.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming inventory.
- Organize and maintain stockroom cleanliness and accessibility.
- Generate inventory reports and communicate findings to management.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize inventory flow.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an inventory clerk or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and general computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 30 pounds.
- Must be detail-oriented and accurate.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse operations.
- A strong focus on workplace safety is required.
