We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our state-of-the-art facility in San Jose, California. This role is crucial for the efficient movement and storage of goods within our high-volume logistics hub. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory. You will ensure that all items are stored correctly, assisting with replenishment and order picking as needed. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace safety; all operators must strictly adhere to company safety policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will possess excellent maneuvering skills, a keen awareness of their surroundings, and a deep understanding of warehouse safety protocols. This position requires the ability to perform regular lifting of items up to 60 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of materials within the warehouse.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE diligently.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics goals.
- Operate safely in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift certification and proven operating experience.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety standards and PPE usage.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory control processes.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and committed to a high standard of safety.
