Join our bustling warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, as an Order Picker. This vital role is responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your precision and speed directly impact our logistics operations and customer satisfaction. You will work with pick lists or scanners to locate and collect products, ensuring that all orders are prepared correctly for the next stage of the shipping process. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from warehouse locations according to order specifications.
- Utilize hand-held scanners or pick lists to identify and retrieve products.
- Ensure the correct quantity and type of items are picked for each order.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory checks and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Participate in team efforts to meet daily order fulfillment goals.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to a supervisor.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be able to perform lifting of up to 35 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices is important for this logistics role.
