Job Duties As our Legal Counsel, Contracts, be responsible for expanding the functions and capabilities of the Contract Management team by handling high risk/high exposure contracts and providing guidance and leadership to the team. You’ll also provide advice on contract matters and assist in streamlining the contracting process. This role is also responsible for the review, analysis, and negotiation of business line contracts (new installation, modernization, service and repair contracts) to manage risks and enhance customer satisfaction, while ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies. You will bring 2+ years of progressive and successful experience working with commercial contracts in a corporate or law firm setting, with string negotiation skills handling complex contract requirements to KONE. You will use the knowledge gained through your bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B. S.) and Juris Doctor (J.D) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from an accredited Canadian law school or equivalent. Must be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Other Listed Duties and requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingual in French-Canadian is required. Manage workload in sufficient manner to meet all assigned due dates. Understanding of contract management processes and ability to advise accordingly. Ability to maintain high standard of customer service and satisfaction. Demonstrate the highest level of personal and professional ethical conduct and confidentiality. Understanding of legal concepts, terms and negotiation issues. Understanding of all KONE products and service including branch related issues, shipping schedules and installation issues that are typically identified within contracts.
