We are seeking a motivated Order Picker to join our distribution team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this crucial role within our logistics operations, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by retrieving specified items from our warehouse. You will leverage our warehouse management system (WMS) and RF scanning technology to navigate the facility efficiently and ensure the correct products and quantities are selected. Accuracy is paramount in this position, as it directly impacts customer satisfaction and inventory integrity. The role requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for extended periods, walking and moving throughout the warehouse. A strong commitment to safety is essential; you must adhere to all company safety protocols and diligently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You may be required to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs, and proper lifting techniques will be trained. Experience with pallet jacks or similar material handling equipment is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners and WMS.
- Locate products within the warehouse and retrieve them efficiently.
- Verify picked items against order documentation to ensure correctness.
- Stage picked orders for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Follow all established safety rules and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed individual and team productivity goals.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Assist with other warehouse duties such as stocking, put-away, or cycle counts as needed.
- Perform lifting of products up to 50 lbs as part of the picking process.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret product labels, pick lists, and order information.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and basic computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and also independently.
- Familiarity with general logistics and warehouse operations.
