We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of warehouse equipment and infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our logistics center. Your duties will include performing routine inspections, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and assisting with the installation of new equipment. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures is essential. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to minimize downtime and ensure all equipment, from forklhnifts to conveyor systems, is functioning optimally. This position requires technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety. Proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety regulations are paramount. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician to contribute to a critical part of our supply chain. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial. We are looking for someone who is proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions. Experience with various types of warehouse machinery and a solid grasp of maintenance best practices are highly valued. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our logistics. Physical demands may include lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and in various environmental conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and minimize downtime.
- Inspect warehouse facilities and equipment for safety hazards and operational issues.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new warehouse machinery and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Respond promptly to repair requests and emergency maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with operations teams to schedule maintenance activities.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Knowledge of various types of warehouse equipment and their maintenance requirements.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing equipment.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
