We are looking for motivated and reliable Warehouse Associates to join our bustling distribution center in New York City, New York. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of our logistics operations, ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped to our valued customers. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from suppliers and carriers.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specific instructions.
- Use a handheld scanner or other equipment to track inventory and order status.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks for delivery.
- Organize and restock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure product integrity and order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as cycle counts and general maintenance.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training may be provided).
- Ensure proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injuries.
- Contribute to efficient logistics flow and meet productivity targets.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work culture.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
