Become a key player in our distribution network as a Picker/Packer in Nashville, Tennessee! We are looking for efficient and detail-oriented individuals to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items to fulfill customer orders and then meticulously packing them for shipment. Your precision ensures that our customers receive exactly what they ordered, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. You will utilize scanning equipment to locate products and confirm selections, ensuring inventory accuracy. We are dedicated to providing a secure work environment and offer comprehensive training on product handling, packing methods, and the mandatory use of PPE . This position demands physical stamina for repeated Lifting and movement throughout the warehouse. It's a great chance to develop skills in a fast-paced Logistics setting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order slips or system directives.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack products securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy through careful picking and scanning.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Follow best practices for Lifting and product handling to prevent damage and injury.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order forms accurately.
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Capable of regularly Lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to wear required PPE , such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics and commitment to maintaining high standards of Safety .
