We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our key logistics facility in Richmond, Virginia. As a Material Handler, you will operate material handling equipment, load and unload shipments, and transport materials throughout the facility. - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials, inventory, and finished goods within the warehouse.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Support inventory management processes like cycle counting.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts preferred.
- Ability to safely operate various types of warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Physical ability to perform lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to upholding a high standard of safety.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
