Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our state-of-the-art facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is vital for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse environment. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of various warehouse equipment, including machinery, conveyor systems, and material handling equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our logistics operations run smoothly and without interruption. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine inspections, and implementing preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Install and set up new equipment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of all operational areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to enhance equipment longevity.
  • Assist in managing spare parts inventory.
  • Respond to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns promptly.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role within a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform lifting up to 60 lbs and work in various warehouse conditions.
  • Knowledge of logistics and material flow.
  • Dedicated to maintaining a safe working environment.
