We are looking for dedicated Order Pickers to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial to our logistics operations and requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and physical stamina. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing scanning technology and hand-held devices to ensure orders are picked correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Locate items in the warehouse and retrieve them efficiently.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package selected items for shipment, ensuring they are secure and protected.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and understand product locations.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse technology.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
