We are building an AI platform for cancer risk assessment using de-identified clinical data (clinical imaging videos, images, lab reports, and notes).
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer / Architect to help set up and manage our Azure environment and support current and future file storage and transfer. In the future, support AI and hospital data integrations.
Position is remote, with occasional meetings in Lake Mary FL area. Prefer candidates in Florida or Southeast, but will consider nationally.
Immediate Responsibilities
- Set up and manage an Azure environment for secure file storage
- Design a structured, scalable folder architecture for medical imaging and research data
- Configure Azure Data Lake, blob, access controls, encryption, and secure upload workflows
- Ensure the environment is HIPAA-aware and suitable for de-identified patient data
Near- to Long-Term Responsibilities
- Assist with deploying an AI application onto Azure (containerized / AKS or App Services)
- Support scalable data pipelines for AI workflows
Future (Not required currently)
- Work with data transfer architect for future real-time hospital data ingestion (HL7/FHIR/DICOM)
Ideal Experience
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience (storage, security, compute)
- Familiarity with healthcare or medical imaging data
- Experience supporting AI/ML applications in the cloud
- Ability to think both near-term implementation and long-term architecture
