We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at our outpatient clinic. The successful candidate will have a strong background in providing occupational therapy services to children, including assessment, treatment, and consultation. This individual will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support children with a wide range of developmental, sensory, and motor challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the occupational therapy needs of pediatric patients.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each child, in collaboration with the patient's family and other healthcare professionals.
3. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve children's fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, self-care abilities, and overall functional independence.
4. Provide education and training to parents and caregivers on strategies to support a child's occupational therapy goals at home and in other environments.
5. Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and other professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for pediatric patients.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards.
7. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to contribute to a cohesive and effective interdisciplinary care approach.
8. Stay current with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy and participate in continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
2. Current state licensure as an occupational therapist and certification as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR).
3. Experience working with pediatric populations in an outpatient or clinical setting.
4. Strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, and motor learning principles.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with children, families, and other healthcare professionals.
6. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement creative, engaging, and effective therapeutic interventions for children.
7. Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards in patient care and clinical practice.
