The Sr. Specialist, Training and Development is responsible for delivering and improving brand engagement, product knowledge and Brand Value Management within the Retailer network. Reporting to the National Manager, Brand Value Delivery, they will be a subject matter expert on Brand Value Management, Mazda product, technology and customer experience including our Ignite the Passion Customer Experience Framework.
In partnership with the Regions, and particularly the Québec Region to provide French language learning support, the incumbent will work to identify and align on opportunities for Retailer improvement and business growth. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of Mazda products and technologies, Brand Experience programs, and our Mazda in Canada philosophy, processes, goals and objectives.
Essential Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Collaborate and co-lead the creation, preparation and facilitation of learning and development sessions at various on and off-site venues, and in a variety of formats (i.e., in-person, virtual, etc.).
- Identify and include any unique needs and opportunities of the Québec Retailer Network during creation, preparation, and delivery of learning and development activities.
- Participate in Train the Trainer sessions by coaching internal and external support staff on how to facilitate the necessary content to ensure that all team members understand the message of our brand and how to bring it to life.
- Ensure awareness and greater adoption of tools and resources on our Mazda intranet & Mazda Learning Platform in collaboration with regional teams.
- Support the budget planning and tracking process to ensure deliverables are achieved within budget in a timely manner.
- Develop an annual training plan in collaboration with the team and external partners to align with the budget.
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required):
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Learning and Development, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of automotive experience.
- Bilingual (fluent in English and French) verbal and written communication skills is required.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Frequent travel is required (at times for an extended period).
- Proven communication skills to connect and inspire an audience; excellent trust-based relationship building.
- Experience with automotive Retailer process, best practices and expertise preferred.
- Customer service focused for internal stakeholders and Retail partners with a strong commitment to service excellence.
- Advanced project and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in all aspects of the position.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- High degree of self-initiative.
- Knowledge of Mazda Canada Inc. and our Retailer network is an asset.
