The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role at the heart of the company's performance. By ensuring the reliability and relevance of financial information, they support leadership and teams in developing a clear vision based on precise and impactful analysis, with a focus on Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a true business partner to various teams across the organization to support strategic decision-making and financial performance. Experience with Sales analysis, an asset.
  • Actively contribute to the budgeting cycle: preparation, monitoring, and analysis of the annual budget, as well as quarterly and annual forecasts.
  • Support investment decisions by preparing rigorous financial analyses and capital project approval files.
  • Develop and optimize management dashboards, creating relevant, results-oriented key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Gather, update, and interpret performance indicators and growth assumptions to inform strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth profitability analyses by distribution center or activity (35 centers across the network).
  • Produce and present clear and impactful monthly financial analyses to managers and senior leadership.
  • Lead the monthly closing process for provisions and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial results.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration by building trust and facilitating the sharing of financial information.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from managers with agility and analytical insight.
  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects, helping to enhance the performance and efficiency of the FP&A department.

Success Factors

  • Financial background: Hold a university degree in finance or accounting, with 4 to 6 years of experience in a financial analyst role. You have a solid understanding of financial statements, performance indicators, and business dynamics as well as profitability factors. Professional designation (CPA or CFA) is a highly valued asset.
  • Analytical mindset: Known for your critical thinking and ability to connect numbers to operational issues, you can deliver accurate diagnoses and insightful recommendations that support decision-making.
  • Rigor and professionalism: Structured and detail-oriented, you ensure the reliability, quality, and precision of your analyses while maintaining a broad perspective.
  • Business acumen: You quickly grasp the company's challenges and economic logic. Your strategic mindset allows you to turn financial data into concrete performance drivers.
  • Technological proficiency: Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, proficient in leveraging Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and Power BI as powerful tools for analysis and optimization.
  • Bilingualism: Fluent in both French and English, spoken and written. English is essential for interacting with our partners and external collaborators across Canada.
