Join our dynamic team in Los Angeles, California, as a Picker/Packer and become a vital part of our efficient logistics operation. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and then expertly packing them for safe and secure shipment. This position requires a sharp eye for detail, speed, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. You will utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology to ensure order accuracy and inventory control. Your tasks will include locating products, verifying quantities, selecting appropriate packaging materials, and ensuring items are packed efficiently to minimize shipping costs and potential damage. Safety is our top priority; you will be expected to strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized workspace. The role involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting items typically up to 50 lbs. Experience with material handling equipment is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using WMS and RF scanners.
- Verify order details and product information for accuracy.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and containers for shipments.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and quality standards.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking and packing role or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order pick lists and product labels.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
