We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of incoming goods. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and properly documenting all received items. You will work closely with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety are paramount. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key responsibilities include operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely, maintaining an organized receiving area, and reporting any issues promptly. Attention to detail is critical to prevent inventory errors and ensure smooth operations. We emphasize a strong safety culture and require all employees to adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times. The ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs) is required. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders for accuracy.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory system.
- Distribute received goods to appropriate departments or storage locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with PPE and warehouse Safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Understanding of Logistics principles is beneficial.
