We are seeking a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Austin, Texas. This role is essential for the efficient movement and storage of inventory at height. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating specialized machinery to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods in a high-rack environment. The ideal candidate possesses excellent spatial awareness, a strong commitment to safety, and a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics. You must maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all operations comply with company safety standards and government regulations. We require all team members to consistently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety training. This position requires the ability to work at heights, perform frequent lifting, and operate machinery with precision. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve materials in warehouse racking systems.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Accurately record inventory movements using scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Perform daily inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock put-away.
- Follow traffic rules and safety guidelines within the warehouse.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment as a forklift or reach truck operator.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning technology.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and consistently using PPE.
- Ability to work at heights and in various temperature conditions.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
