Are you detail-oriented and passionate about maintaining accurate inventory? Our Portland, Oregon warehouse is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory management processes. You will play a vital part in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out) to minimize spoilage and obsolescence.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Operate inventory management software and relevant technology.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- This role may involve occasional Lifting of inventory items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain logistics.
- Understanding of Safety procedures and practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
