Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our facility in Los Angeles, California. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels. This role is critical for ensuring product availability, minimizing stockouts, and reducing waste within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in inventory management software, and a thorough understanding of warehouse processes. A commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols, is essential. This position requires individuals who are proactive in identifying and resolving inventory issues, contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain. You will work closely with various teams, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure seamless inventory flow. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is vital. Responsibilities include: performing regular cycle counts and physical inventories, reconciling inventory discrepancies, updating inventory records in the WMS, analyzing inventory data to identify trends and potential issues, implementing process improvements for inventory accuracy, and assisting with the training of other staff on inventory procedures. Significant experience with lifting and moving inventory items is necessary.
