Are you a skilled Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee? We are seeking experienced individuals to join our dynamic **logistics** team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials within our warehouse. This position requires precision, adherence to **safety** protocols, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations. You will handle **lifting** and transporting goods, ensuring accurate placement and inventory management. Proper use of **PPE** is essential, and a commitment to maintaining a **safe** work environment is paramount. We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented operators who can contribute to the smooth flow of our distribution center. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting our overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and load/unload materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance issues.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of loads.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of goods, ensuring accurate placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all **safety** guidelines.
- Strictly follow all **safety** regulations and wear appropriate **PPE**.
- Participate in inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Support overall **logistics** operations and contribute to team goals.
- Perform occasional **lifting** of items up to 50 lbs.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Proven ability to perform **lifting** tasks safely, including items up to 50 lbs.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE**.
- Understanding of **logistics** and material handling principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
