We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our fulfillment center in Omaha, Nebraska. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact customer satisfaction. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will utilize scanning equipment and work from pick lists to gather the correct items. We emphasize safety in all aspects of our logistics operations, and adherence to safety guidelines, including the use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order slips.
- Use handheld scanners to track picked items and update inventory.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment.
- Stage picked orders for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet established picking quotas and performance standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to a supervisor.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve warehouse goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Stamina for standing and walking for extended periods.
- Understanding of basic logistics.
