We are looking for a diligent and energetic Material Handler to join our busy Los Angeles, California warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. You will be involved in loading, unloading, and organizing goods to support our shipping and receiving departments, ensuring a streamlined workflow. Your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and commitment to safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks and containers.
- Move, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by ensuring proper placement of goods.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from obstructions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and supply chain process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs, throughout the shift.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with general logistics operations.
