Are you a natural leader with a passion for logistics? We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to guide our team in Detroit, Michigan. In this critical role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all aspects of our logistics. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of warehouse associates, scheduling work, optimizing workflows, and implementing best practices. You will be instrumental in maintaining inventory integrity, managing shipping and receiving operations, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This leadership position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate and develop your team. The ability to manage and assist with lifting tasks up to 50 lbs when necessary is also expected.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Develop and implement efficient operational procedures and workflows.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and control.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes.
- Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Manage equipment maintenance and facility upkeep.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management. Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and lift up to 50 lbs. Familiarity with WMS and other relevant technologies. Demonstrated commitment to safety and EHS compliance. Must be adept at problem-solving and decision-making. Experience in enforcing PPE policies and ensuring a safe working environment is critical.
