We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring timely movement of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. Your primary focus will be on adhering to all safety protocols and operational procedures. Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of warehouse operations are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize inventory in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Follow all Logistics operational guidelines to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
