Our Virginia Beach, Virginia location is hiring Picker/Packers! If you are an energetic and detail-oriented individual seeking a role in the fast-paced world of logistics, this is a fantastic opportunity. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. You'll use scanning technology to locate items, pick them from shelves, and then carefully package them for delivery. This role requires physical stamina, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safety. You will work within established procedures, utilize necessary equipment, and always prioritize safety, including the correct use of PPE. Our team environment encourages collaboration and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order requirements using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping and sort them by destination or carrier.
- Conduct quality control checks on picked and packed items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory tasks, such as cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is a plus.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and inventory systems is beneficial.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Awareness of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
