Seeking dedicated Order Pickers to join our busy distribution center in Richmond, Virginia! This role is critical to fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. As an Order Picker, you will navigate the warehouse to retrieve specified items, verify product details, and prepare them for the next stage of the logistics process. Accuracy, speed, and a strong adherence to safety protocols are essential. You'll work with various warehouse equipment and systems to track inventory and fulfill orders. This position requires physical activity, including significant standing, walking, and repetitive lifting. Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves accurately.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order sheets.
- Use scanning equipment to track picked items.
- Package items appropriately for transport.
- Meet daily picking quotas and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and labels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Knowledge of logistics principles is a plus.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
