No wonder, considering they're in charge of media relations, events, digital marketing, and digital communications, with which they shape BCG's image among clients, employees, alumni, and job applicants, as well as the media and general public. Bringing the Group's global thought leadership to the world, they ensure that BCG expertise and studies are placed in the right channel at the right time and continuously develop our communications and marketing strategy.


As a highly motivated Marketing & Communications (M&C) Senior Specialist Central Europe (CE), your work will focus on topics related to Climate & Sustainability – based either in our Munich or Düsseldorf office. In our CE M&C Strategy & Campaigns Team, you'll develop the campaign strategy for your topic areas in the Central Europe region and will ensure an effective orchestration of global marketing content in the Central European context. As the driving force behind all content in the area of Climate & Sustainability, you'll design and launch 360° campaigns. You'll strategically develop and tactically activate your campaigns in close coordination with the CE Leadership Team, the CE M&C Leadership Team, and global M&C teams. In addition to being responsible for selected campaigns, you will use your specialist knowledge and experience to contribute to the continuous development of our campaign capabilities and provide active support in expanding our data-driven marketing approaches and advancing the cross-functional way we address our topics.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and implementing content and planning campaigns for our annually adjusted strategic positioning with central topics and messages, capabilities, targets, and performance indicators.
  • Communicating and managing messages in the local CE markets, with a focus on Germany, in a 360° approach across all internal and external channels and detailing of the guidelines, communication framework, and timelines for suitable channels.
  • Creating and interpreting thought leadership content and editorials in collaboration with subject matter experts and practice group management teams, leveraging existing BCG knowledge.
  • Conducting analyses and benchmarking in close collaboration with our Marketing Intelligence Team to determine the effectiveness of the campaigns.
  • Functioning as an interdepartmental contact person for your topics and dynamically developing the cross-functional marketing and communication activities and strategic activations further.
YOU'LL WORK WITH

As part of the Strategy & Campaigns Team, you'll report directly to the CE Marketing & Communications Senior Director. Your team is part of the broader CE Marketing & Communications Team and works closely with the CE Leadership Team and the global Marketing & Communications Teams. You and your team will collaborate with other teams throughout the company; they can be different departments, but also function leaders such as Managing Directors and Partners, Marketing Directors, and colleagues within BCG's Marketing function.


YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • You know how to develop and design attractive content and media assets for specific channels and target groups.
  • You are familiar with the topic landscape surrounding Climate & Sustainability and how it relates to BCG's business priorities, and you are able to effectively present complex topics that require explanation employing audience-appropriate storytelling and other stylistic devices.
  • You impress with your initiative, high quality standards, motivation, and flexibility.
  • Your competent and professional demeanor wins over internal and external stakeholders, and you can confidently lead them through challenging discussions.
  • You are flexible, work well under pressure, and you're extremely reliable.
  • You're a great team player.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS)
  • You have completed an academic degree with a major in marketing or communications.
  • You have at least five years of relevant professional experience.
  • You are familiar with all common business and office tools and have experience in using them for professional communication work.
  • Your written and spoken English and German language skills are excellent.
  • You have a good knowledge of the market and a solid understanding of how the (German) media landscape works.
