We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our team at our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility. In this role, you will be essential to the efficient operation of our warehouse, managing the flow of materials from receipt to dispatch. Key responsibilities include unloading incoming goods, stocking shelves, picking orders, and preparing items for shipment. This position is foundational to our Logistics operations, and a focus on accuracy and timely execution is critical. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, a commitment to workplace Safety , and the physical capability to handle the demands of the job. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials for damages and discrepancies.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for packing and shipping.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring product integrity.
- Load finished shipments onto trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all Safety protocols and wear designated PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory control activities and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse capacity is preferred.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Logistics and inventory control principles.
