Our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse is looking for a motivated Order Picker to join our logistics team! In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our order fulfillment process. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders. If you are detail-oriented, energetic, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this position is a great opportunity for you. We prioritize safety above all else and provide comprehensive training, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting methods.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack selected items carefully into appropriate containers for shipment.
- Stage completed orders in the designated area for quality control and shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve daily order fulfillment targets.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an order picking or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory systems.
- Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to remain active, standing and walking, for the duration of the shift.
