In this critical role, you will operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading materials from trucks, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring that all operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trailers and production areas.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and document any issues.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment as needed.
- Follow all guidelines regarding the use of PPE.
- Be prepared for tasks that may require manual Lifting of items not on pallets, up to 40 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and OSHA standards.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.
- Experience in a fast-paced Logistics setting is highly desirable.
