Our Austin, Texas location is hiring a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of all incoming shipments, ensuring that inventory is received, inspected, and recorded properly. Your role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our stock and supporting efficient warehouse operations. You will work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies. A keen eye for detail and a strong adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accept deliveries and unload materials from trucks.
- Inspect incoming goods for any damage or defects and verify against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document received items into the inventory management system.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the appropriate management.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing within the logistics flow.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, such as safety vests and gloves, to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a receiving or inventory control role is highly desirable. Must be able to perform moderate lifting up to 40 pounds. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail are crucial. Basic computer skills for data entry. Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
