Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect materials for damage and verify quantities against shipping documents.
- Stock, organize, and retrieve materials from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Prepare materials for shipment by packaging, labeling, and staging them appropriately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervision immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
- Understanding of basic safety principles.
