Our company is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and systems. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various warehouse machinery, including conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and other material handling equipment. A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure the smooth flow of logistics. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all safety regulations, including proper PPE usage, is mandatory. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a critical support function within our warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with warehouse systems.
- Install new equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and provide timely repairs to minimize operational disruption.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure the safe operation of all equipment, including adherence to Lifting guidelines.
- Work closely with warehouse management and operations staff to coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of our logistics infrastructure.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Experience with troubleshooting and repair of automated systems is highly desirable. Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including Lifting up to 50 lbs. Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the use of PPE. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong understanding of logistics and material flow is a plus. A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
