We are seeking an organized and diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, inspecting products for damage, accurately recording received items into our inventory system, and staging goods for put-away. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and all team members must follow established protocols and wear appropriate PPE . This position involves considerable physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. If you have experience in warehouse operations and possess a keen eye for detail, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect delivered goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Verify quantities and product information against purchase orders.
- Stage received goods for efficient put-away by other team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear mandatory PPE .
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and using PPE .
